Jocelyn was a classmate and friend of mine. She was somebody that was easy to talk to; fun to hang out with... She was the one that kept us all in touch after graduation... keeping class lists with email addresses etc together. She started optometry school after having been an RN for several years.

After graduation, she worked at Price/Whitson; an ophthalmology group in Indianapolis that specialized in Lasik when it was first approved in the United States. When Drs Price and Whitson split up, she went out on her own and then ended up at Dr. Whitson's practice.

Another classmate sent us all an email yesterday about what happened to her. Apparently, she had a chronic cough towards the end of last year that her GP treated as bronchitis. After not improving for several months, he referred her to a cardiologist that said she had congestive heart failure that should have been under treatment. Due to its late diagnosis, she was beyond a cure and eventually died.... a "simple cough" that would not improve... lesson learned...

A lot of us have been emailing back and forth... it's a shock and she'll be missed...
