2020 On-site Completes Observational Study that Confirms Eye Exams in Mobile Settings Have Same Results as In-Office Exams - StreetInsider.com

Lol, what an independent study with a large sample base. Truly eye shattering info here.
 
Here's the truth of it. The trucks:
1. see people who otherwise never go regularly and they catch a regular amount of disease.
2. see children at schools from homes where eyecare is an afterthought
3. see a lot of "low hanging fruit" and renew CLs for <$40 and don't perform any new or re-fits.

As of 2018, they would see 4 or 5 patients per hour.

The trouble is, there is zero follow up care and the honus is on the patient to follow up with the specialists when needed or to get the children follow up care through the school or parents. Would be great if they would either partner with a standalone clinic for all follow up care and disease...
