This emergency e mail was sent to to the PatientWire subscribers . He wrote...

"Dear PatientWire subscriber,

This morning, a major new virus outbreak has hit the Internet.

This virus is particularly clever, as it identifies itself as a person or group that you may already know.

If you get any e-mail that purports to be from the staff at PatientWire or Wolf Bioscience, and that asks you to click on an attachment, PLEASE DISREGARD IT. It is a *fake*, and clicking on the attachment will infect you with the virus.

It is important to remember that any time you get an e-mail that asks you to click on an attachment, particularly an attachment that's an "exe", "bat", or "pif" file, the odds are that it is a virus.

It is also important to remember if you use Windows to use an antivirus package, and keep your virus definitions updated at all times.

If you have any questions about this email, please respond to me.

Good luck & stay safe,

Adam
