I sure did. His name was Fagelson in those years. Since we sat in class in alphabetical order, I spent my student years at Columbia Optometry sitting next to him.

A good student with an attractive preppy appearance. He liked to be called "Chick". I think he knew he was heading to practice in Connecticut, where a Felson last name would be better than Fagelson. As his obit states he contributed his efforts to organized optometry.

The number of ODs who knew optometry is the 1950's are rapidly vanishing.
