SB 776: Optometry. - Digital Democracy | CalMatters

CA has been increasing regulations on optometry, including large minimum wage increase laws, for many years, with Medicaid fees stagnant for , I recall, 20 years.
Today I examined a teen who lost Medicaid coverage due to inefficient program rules; I donated the exam and Essilor Foundation will make the lenses. Meanwhile the state covers undoc. people for all problems; I don't necessarily object to helping everyone in a reasonable system though.
I will be meeting with our state Senator to discuss these issues.
