My mother in law lives in the Dallas area and was asking my opinion on foundation leveling techniques. I know absolutlely nothing about this. So I was hoping that some of our Texas ODs would be able to help me out.
There apparently a bunch of different methods, from using steel beams (which I''ve heard is not recommended), to pouring concrete pillars (two being better than one), to compressing pre-poured concrete blocks (seems worse than pouring concrete to me??) to a 'new' system called Cable Lock that uses a steel cable inside of concrete columns (similar to re-inforced concrete with rebar I think) Prices range from like the mid 5 grand range to over $20 000...
Any help would be apprecited.
As a last note my MIL wants it "done right" and is not looking for "the cheapest method"
Thanks
