My wife and I just saw the Johnny Depp/Armie Hammer movie "The Lone Ranger"

We both remember the old TV show. I loved the movie, my wife did not! Lots of the special effects that only Hollywood can do; maybe too much?

Johnny Depp clearly had a hand in production/story line of the movie.

opinions?

Hi-Oh Silver,Away!

Who is old enough to remeber the orginal?

"A fiery horse with a the speed of light...A cloud of dust and a hearty Hi...ho silver, the Lone Ranger!"

For those who wish to return to yesteryear or for youths who never heard the radio show...take a few minutes from face book, smart phones and IPads...

The movie is certainly a departure from the format of the original radio/TV show!

Understand Disney is planning a 'Lone Ranger' attraction at their theme parks.

BTW, "what was the name of the Lone Ranger's nephew's horse? (from "A Christmas Story")

Dan Reids horse

Dan Reid the Lone Ranger's nephew rode a horse the son of Silver named Victor.

For tougher trivia...

The opening piece before the show is the Rossini Willam Tell overture. What is the name of the musical piece after the intermission.

Don't sweat it . It's Franz Liszt's "Les Preludes".

For your listening pleasure. Please sit through the first two minutes of the introduction. You will be rewarded...
