For those Illinois docs who are wondering, we got certified as a CE provider in Illinois (one of only a handful of states that doesn't just follow ARBOs guidelines but requires an extra step.)

Hope to see you there!

Not THAT is a game changer. Is this a status change? In the recent past we were told specifically that only a specific source could provide virtual CE for Illinois.

Interestingly Illinois would not accept 3 major days of GSLS.

Show Illinois the money and then jump through hoops and wait.

Then this arrives 4 months later...

It was slightly more involved than that; despite the fact that I think they are wrong for not following ARBO's guidelines and requirements around CE providers (unlike virtually all other states), they at least tried to be thorough with the application process -- I probably submitted at least 50 pages of documentation proving that we weren't fly-by-night and actually have decent courses and record-keeping.

LOL--you could have gotten this done very quickly in Crook County. You just need to contact and retain one of the local attorney alderman. They can very quickly eliminate all the red tape.

Well, the state took their time, and even made me submit revisions and clarifications, which took additional time. I'm not sure how or why IL decided to do this additional layer of scrutiny vs. every other state which follows ARBO's advice -- (ie, if a CE provider is vetted by ARBO, and courses are COPE-approved, then that should be good enough. If every state required this, small CE providers like us couldn't manage, as it would cost hundreds of thousands of dollars just to get vetted in each state.)

Regardless, we are now in the Illinois system so credits earned through us should be considered kosher unless some other obstacle comes up!

Nice work. I love Kosher.
