Webinar: Wednesday, March 27th, 9pm PT.
Register Here

Normally on ODwire.org we focus on issues and products in eye care.

But on wednesday (9pm ET/6pm PT), the focus is going to be on YOU.

We're having our first ever "Ask ODwire.org ANYTHING" webinar.

Want to learn about what goes on 'behind the curtain'?
Do you have a good idea for new site functions?
Do you want to give us a lambasting about how the place is run?

Fire away!

Paul and Adam will take your questions (anonymously!) about the site, the community, and where we see it headed in 2013.

Don't miss this freewheeling event & make your voice heard!

SPECIAL BONUS 1:
Adam will give you a 'sneak peak' demo of an important new part of the site.

SPECIAL BONUS 2:
Even though our original speaker backed out, we're still giving away an iPad Mini in a raffle. Our loss is your gain, so register to enter!

If you haven't registered yet, what are you waiting for? :)

See you there,
Paul, Adam & Your ODwire.org Team

ps -- if you want to ask questions ahead of time, put 'em into this thread... Paul and I will discuss them during the show.

Yup, this is a last minute fill-in show -- but we thought it would be a fun one; we very rarely get to really show you guys the guts of the system or directly get your input on what you'd like to see

(at the very least, it will give me a reason to keep paul awake past 7pm... )

Well, just sent out the massmailing about the webinar, looks like just a few minutes in, lots of folks are signing up. Look forward to seeing y'all at the show. Should be a fun time (bring your most brutal questions :) )

Hi Adam,

I don't have a brutal question, just a feature request for the mobile app. Nothing urgent, just a nice-to-have.

It would be nice if there were a way to change the text size or use the finger-slide zoom while reading on the app. I'm referring to the way you can use the touch screen (pinch or spread motion) to change text size on a regular website. Sometimes I read ODwire with an iPad while on the elliptical and the text is just small enough that it can be difficult. I'm 6' tall, so the iPad is pretty far away from me while resting on the screen. :)

Thanks!
Lisa

Great point; i'll talk about the difficulty of how the apps are built tonight & what changes can be made. The alternative is to goto a pure HTML5 approach & just use Safari on your iPad.

Definitely something to discuss!

Thanks everyone!

thanks everyone for coming tonight, that was a fun hour.

I hope the 'behind the scenes' look was informative; keep an eye out for the new site features coming soon

cheers

Never too late...

Sorry I missed it. I was going between two baseball games until 9:00.

I have to watch it myself to hear what I said. Not much of a script with a last minute show.
