Much better audio here. At first it didn't come through, but a refresh helped. Very odd.

Hope everyone is enjoying the show so far, the livestreaming actually works (gasp)

over 300 in the epigenetics lecture!!!

crowd has been great, the livestreaming has also been going well (we're playing a classic webinar right now while paul and I stop to get a drink!

Remember to everyone watching -- you can sign up now and catch the lectures that you might have missed this morning, they will be available to you for the next 90 days.

Thanks,
adam

Remember too you can ask questions here, and I'll answer them, just like the booth inside of CEwire2015.com

Just a reminder, you can pick up your CE certificates in the "help center" in the conference.

There might be a slight delay, if you don't see the certifcates immediately, fear not they will be there!

Thanks
adam

ps -- we're getting really good feedback about the talks so far, thanks so much to our speakers for doing a bang-up job.

We're streaming the 'classic' ODwire.org webinar about Essilor and Coastal Contacts for the next hour. It has been the most watched show of the past year -- 5,000 members have viewed it.

Enjoy!

Day 1 complete! That was something else, I hope everyone had a great time, and if you haven't signed up, it isn't too late. We've got day 2 coming up tomorrow, and all of day 1's lectures are available to view as an archive.

As an aside, we've got just about 1,300 OD participants (compare to AOA's annual meeting, at 1,750... we're closing in!)

That's an insane number for a first program! It's a real testament to this site, the ODWire participants and the Farkas' that it all came together to this degree right out of the gate.

So, I am curioius, how do you track who was in the room?

I signed in early today...you even mentioned my name. Then a patient called and said they had a contact lens stuck in their eye. And it was "bloody".

So, off I went to the office to of course see that there was no contact lens in their eye.

The system tracks everyone who goes to a lecture, so that it knows you 'attended' (of course, it can't tell if you stayed awake!)

While watching a session (Blepharitis/MGD and Demodex (45036-AS)) I submitted answers to the quiz and did not get credit. Can you retake the quiz after changing answers and get credit?

yes, if you didn't 'pass' the test you can go back and re-take it as many times as you need to in order to pass. I think 70% is passing.

We also had a situation today where one lecture had test questions that were impossible -- not covered by the lecture content. I sent the issue onto ARBO they are taking care of it.

BTW, if you don't see a certificate in your test page immediately after passing, don't panic -- the techs tell me that it can take some time before they are generated.

hope you enjoyed day 1!

So far no certificates from the second day of courses/quizzes I took and also missing one or two from the first day.

If you 1) watched the whole lecture and 2) passed the test, but the certificate isn't showing, please contact chris phillips, he will make sure it will show up in your control panel.

Thanks!
Adam

What if I missed a few minutes of the lecture yet took the quiz(and passed)? Rewatch the whole lecture and then retake the quiz?

Watched that damn demodex one 3 times or more. Still didn't pass.:(

no, you don't have to rewatch the whole thing -- chris will make sure your cert shows up.

you are running into a problem that occasionally bites people -- you left a little early, then (i'm guessing) completed the test too quickly after you finished watching the show!

The software tries to prevent people from ditching the class and claiming credit. It is too stupid to understand that you actually did sit through the majority of the class.

Chris knows this, so just e-mail him, your cert will appear.

99% of people haven't had any trouble getting their certs, it is these odd cases (ironically, when someone is too fast with the test) where it crops up. Penalty for being smart, i guess...

OK, so you sent this response to the wrong guy, but thanks for the answer.:)
