In this InSight Studio interview, Dr. Howard Purcell, President & CEO of the New England College of Optometry, gives advice to students who are considering a career in eye care:

We also asked him how things have changed in optometric education since the mid-1980s (when he was a student!):

Always enjoyed working with Howard when I did a little work with PM education. He, Stan Yamane and George Mertz had a great team at Vistakon.
Seems like a great choice for a school leader with his experience as a practitioner, teacher and industry executive.
Congrats Howard.

It was fun catching up with Howard, I hadn't spoken with him in quite a while.

Dr. Yamane was at the AAO meeting in San Antonio as well, it had been years since I'd seen him. Always great to see old friends!
