It is obvious to me after reading Dr. Robert’s reply, but she has misquoted and misunderstood Dr. Tommy Lucas‘s comments on herpes Zoster ophthalmicus. I would hope Dr. Lucas who is a member of this forum would issue a rebuttal.

She has also underestimated the number of clinical hours Optometrists get in school before they graduate, as well as the extensive education and training we have for treating glaucoma that starts in college. It is not a 16 hour course.

The only thing I will say as a positive at least she was somewhat respectful in the article.
