Meanwhile we have ophthalmologists out there willy nilly blindly signing off on prescriptions for patients that put $25 into a kiosk while the AMA does nothing.

But yeah....optometrists are the real threat to vision care for the public. :rolleyes:

I give up at the stupidity of it all.

How richly ironic that fifty years ago ophthalmology ridiculed optometry as "spectacle lens peddlers" who made nothing on professional fees but needed to sell lenses to make a living. Now ophthalmology makes nothing on professional fees with cataract surgery and has to peddle IOL lenses to make a profit. "IOL lens peddlers"?
