O.D.s there have no medication prescribing authority? Speaking of Scots, I once noticed a local Scotland games in a park. So I tried their stone throw and took second place, without practice .
Optometry in the UK is a BSc degree (so not OD's), three years in England, four in Scotland. I believe the Scottish graduates with the four year degrees have some degree of prescribing authority at initial licensure, in England it requires additional post-graduate training.
