I took a class of his in Spring 2006. At the time he was undergoing chemo. He came to class looking like hell. Sick, loosing hair, the whole works. As soon as he started in on pediatrics or VT he just lit up. He looked the part of a chemo patient but his attitude, his whole demeanor was hope and gratitude for another day to teach and talk and connect with students. He had such a positive outlook on life it was infectious.
