Pioneering Former WNBC Meteorologist Frank Field Dies at 100 - NBC New York

For those who are wondering why this got posted here, it is because Dr. Frank had a doctorate in optometry (not to mention a few other science-related degrees.) Besides his weather gig, he was the science news guy for NBC in the day.

I grew up watching him on TV and he was the go-to meteorologist if only because he explained the "whys" in easy-to-understand science language. Somehow, he seemed to get the forecast more accurate than his peers. Just no reason to get your weather fix from anyone else.

Thanks for the memories.

His resume includes undergrad education at MIT in meteorology. I also took similar courses there and they were amazing
