Scott-
PM me your email address and I can send you a copy. It's a fairly typical, boring read.
The overall answer is no, and at one point the author compares educating optometrists to handing a loaded gun to a child.
Well, as a firearm enthusiast, I plan on handing loaded guns to my children, and doing so frequently.
So, with the proper training and supervision, they should do well... so with the OMDs as our 'parents' we'd be fine too, right?

"It's kind of like cutting off a person's legs. You can hook one of the legs up to a car battery and, sure, it will still hop around a little. But the truth is that the severed leg still can't take a dump. And that's what's important. If we can't collectively take a dump on vision insurances, board certification, a cowardly AOA, anti-trust, 1-800, and restrictive state laws...then we're just a silly dancing leg with jumper cables."
