April 11 - 12, 2026
June 6 - 7, 2026

We'll have more information about the conference as the summer unfolds, but remember we've still got one more synchronous show to go at CEwire2025, so if you haven't signed up for it, we hope to see you there in September!

Hi!
I emailed support@cewire2025 asking about how to get credits sent to CE broker? I am an OD in Texas and Texas uses CE broker to verify CE instead of OE tracker accounts. Can our credits be sent to CE broker? Thanks!

Hi Dr. Laurenzi,

As of right now, we're in the CE Broker system as an organization, but you have to manually upload the CEwire credits -- Please see this discussion thread where other TX folks talk about how to get it done:

https://www.odwire.org/community/th...adam-with-the-texas-ce-broker-success.151300/

Because CE Broker doesn't use OE Tracker numbers as a primary key, it is difficult for us to directly import the data from our system to theirs without additional development. We're looking into making it happen, but because virtually all the rest of the states use the OE tracker system, it was our top priority when developing the software.

Thanks!

Thank you for the info! I’ll do this later on tonight.

Sincerely,
Sonia Laurenzi

Thought I’d do some CE over the weekend. I see there’s a loyalty price. Does that only apply if you pre-register? (It’s obviously too late for that.)

If you're an ODwire person, click the link in my sig -- I left it there for a reason for ODwire folks, it'll link to the lower price [membership has its privileges] :)

We've just about got the course roster set for 2026 [the approval process is underway], we're on target to share it sometime next week.

As always, the curriculum was in large part determined by prior attendees, who told us what they wanted "more" and "less" of. It wasn't determined by any external factors or outside influences - the "CEwire Difference" if you will...

One visible change from year's prior is the domain name -- Now and forever you'll be going to "CEwire.com" instead of CEwire2024.com, CEwire2023.com, etc ... One place, centralized.

Very excited to get it all revved up for you.

Thank you for all your efforts, I hope to see more new ODs from states, where their optometry state boards are now allowing more on line continuing education for relicensing, become CEwire.com participants.

Every OD should check with their state board for changes.

And then there is Florida....AAARGH!

Not worth getting upset about Florida. They are going to do what they are going to do, it is out of our control.

The licensees on the other hand should be pissed off royally that they are being asked to jump through additional hoops and cost, without any real evidence that it makes a difference to patient harm reduction.

Wow. Indiana only allows 10
hours which is an upgrade over the previous 8 hours before this renewal cycle.

Illinois OD's must take CE that covers these topics:

Dementia Awareness training (1 hour)
Sexual harrassment Prevention training (1 hour)
Implicit Bias training (1 hour)
Cultural Competency training (1 hour)

Do you know if ODWire will have courses that satisfy these requirements? The 2025 session did not (at least not the courses that I attended)?

As of now no. We do have someone in the wings for implicit bias. Frankly except for Illinois those course will be poorly attended in my opinion

Hi Linda - Steve mentioned we're trying to get an implicit bias talk.

One of the challenges for us is finding talks that can meet the requirement -- I can't find the specs for what would count for something like dementia awareness, or cultural competency. Do you know where I could find the statute? That would get us moving in the right direction.

Thanks
Adam
