Norwalk, CT (August 19, 2025)—Vision Expo West, the premier event for the vision community, returns to The Venetian Expo in Las Vegas from September 17–20, 2025. Co-owned by RX and The Vision Council, this year’s show introduces a lineup of new and enhanced activations that spotlight the technologies, trends, and talent shaping the future of vision care and eyewear.
The 2025 edition will feature a newly redesigned exhibit hall organized into four distinct areas: Eyewear, Eyecare, Independent Design, and Tech & Innovation. This updated layout will make it easier for attendees to explore, learn, and connect with more than 300 exhibiting brands and companies from September 18–20.
“Vision Expo West is where the entire optical community comes together to explore the future of the industry,” said Ashley Mills, CEO of The Vision Council. “From innovative product and technology launches to thought-provoking education and high-energy networking events, this year’s show is designed to spark ideas, foster connections, and empower attendees to take their businesses to the next level.”
New Show Floor Activations for 2025
• LaunchPad – A showcase of 25+ startup companies, including the six finalists of the VSP Vision Innovation Challenge.
• Indie Lab Speakeasy – A collective meeting space for leading independent laboratories, sponsored by GSRX.
• Meeting Zone – A dedicated space for one-on-one matchmaking and networking.
• NOW Design Showcase – Presenting eyewear trends that merge fashion and function, selected from Vision Expo East winners and competition finalists.
• Platinum Club – Exclusive access for million-dollar practices, media and influencers.
• VSP Beer Garden – An eclectic spot to relax with themed drinks and mini golf.
• Conferee Café – A French-inspired lounge with daily refreshments and barista service, sponsored by HOYA.

Debuting at the Vision Expo Main Stage
The Vision Expo West 2025 Main Stage will feature discussions and presentations on practice management, the future of the industry, advancements, staffing and leadership development, and trends, alongside a pitch competition and award presentations.
Highlights include:
• OptiCon General Session – Dream Big: The Future of Opticianry in the 21st Century, Thursday, September 18 at 12:30 p.m., led by David Friedfeld, President and Co-Owner of ClearVision Optical, this session explores trends shaping the future of opticianry.
• VSP Vision Innovation Challenge Awards, Thursday, September 18 at 4 p.m., celebrating industry innovation and achievement with six finalists (three early stage and three later stage) live pitching on-stage after a four-week bootcamp and the crowning of the winner. In addition, select early-stage startups may secure a $400,000 investment from Topcon Healthcare’s THINC Ventures.
• INVISION’s 2025 America’s Finest Optical Retailer Award Presentation & Champagne Toast, Friday, September 19 at 4 p.m. INVISION’s 11th annual award celebrates the country’s most innovative optical retailer, chosen by a panel of industry judges. The winner, featured on the cover and in a 4-page profile in the July/August issue, will receive their trophy and $1,000 from Vision Expo, followed by a champagne toast.
• Flaunt the Frame Eyewear Fashion Show, Friday, September 19 at 4:40 p.m., hosted by Eyecare Business, will showcase the latest trends in eyewear design, style and craftsmanship.

The education program, running September 17 to 20, offers more than 270 hours of accredited and non-accredited content, including 13 hours of free COPE-approved content and OptiCon @ Vision Expo programming, presented by the United Opticians Association.
